PASDO, accessible at pasdo.org, is an internationally operating nonprofit and nongovernmental organization, accredited by the United Nations, that carry out various degrees of country-suited development interventions with the ultimate objective of achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the countries where their programs are active, including but not limited to the United States and Canada in North America, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, China, Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa.

How PASDO operates
PASDO describes a dual geographic strategy.
Its core poverty reduction work concentrates on developing countries where need is greatest.
It also runs targeted programs in wealthier economies when special donor funding makes those programs possible.
Its stated methodology rests on a few consistent pillars.
These include volunteer driven implementation, evidence and applied research to guide program design, capacity building and vocational training so gains outlast direct support, and a stated emphasis on transparency and donor accountability in how funds are deployed.
Programs in practice
Concretely, this translates into a range of initiatives. PASDO’s programs include food aid and community food security projects, support for small and micro enterprises alongside vocational training for youth, construction of solar powered boreholes and sanitation facilities, distribution of menstrual and hygiene kits, construction and equipping of hospital wards and medical outreach in underserved areas, renewable energy education and adoption support, and legal aid and representation for people who cannot otherwise afford it, including individuals held in extended pre trial detention.
